Make Love with Your Mind!

Did you know that every time you think a negative thought or even think or hear the word “NO” you experience brain damage? It’s true!  New neuroscience research has shown that negative thinking damages brain cells. Guess what reverses those harmful effects? You got it, positive thinking!

Here’s the key though; it takes three times as many positive uplifting thoughts to counteract one negative! And as your nervous system is hardwired to keep you safe and lookout for danger its default mechanism is to always think about what could go wrong, will go wrong and may go wrong.

I know what you’re thinking; “Great one more thing to add to my to-do list — avoid brain damage, think positive”

Please understand it’s not YOU that’s thinking negative it’s your nervous system! And you are NOT your brain nor are you the thoughts, feelings, behaviors and reactions that it generates. This is really important to get and it’s the first step to creating immediate, permanent and meaningful growth in your life!

Here are 3 steps to help you master your mind:

Step 1: Awareness
Become acutely aware and conscious of everything you think, feel, say and do. 95% of all of these things are driven and initiated at the level of your autonomic nervous system which serves as an automatic pilot for how you show up in life. Without becoming aware of how your nervous system is running your life, there is no real hope of ever changing it.

Step 2: Acceptance
Realize that all of these actions and reactions are a programmed response from YOUR nervous system. It’s your nervous system that is causing you to think, feel and behave in certain ways and NOT what’s happening outside of you. If what you heard, saw and experienced from your external environment was truly the cause of how you think and feel then EVERY human being would have the exact same thoughts and feelings. Take 100% responsibility and ownership of how you are showing up even if you don’t know why.

Step 3: Action
Your nervous system, just like every other organ and system in your body needs regular maintenance, support and attention. As a human being you have a responsibility to understand how your body functions and the best way to take care of it. Practicing regular mind mastery techniques and developing the skills to observe, control and direct your thoughts and emotions is an integral part of living a healthy, successful and stress-free life.

The Wisdom of the Dalai Lama?

There is a quote circulating about the Internet (through the power of social media) where the Dalai Lama is asked what surprised him the most about humanity. His answer was:

“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

Let’s forget the fact that the Dalai Lama never said it, isn’t this how we see so many people live their lives? What about you? Can you find yourself in that quote? Are you living life to the fullest, or are you working yourself to the core just to get by while sacrificing valuable relationships in the process?

Many  people believe “that’s as good as it gets”, you know, they buy into the “rat race” and expect that after 20-30 years of doing the same thing over and over, they get to a place called retirement. Recent economic times have shown us that many who sacrificed all that time ended up a retirement age without retirement money.

I’d like to propose something different.

If I told you that it was possible to live life differently, would you believe me? What if I told you that it was possible to get out of our own way and BREAKTHROUGH beyond what holds you back and start living in purpose and walking in your destiny? What if I told you it was possible to ATTRACT what you want instead of striving for it? What if it is REALLY IS POSSIBLE to have more love, peace, money, and joy in your life simply because you learned how to ATTRACT it?

I am here to tell you IT IS POSSIBLE!

I found my purpose several years ago, and that was helping others achieve breakthrough to the successes they were striving for, but could not attain prior. I have been blessed to see countless people have breakthroughs in their personal and professional lives over the past several years.

So what is breakthrough? In essence, it is getting beyond “The Prison of Your Mind”. You know, the one playing the negative messages to you? Neuroscience teaches that the strongest psychological human drive is to behave consistently with the belief you have about yourself. The process of breakthrough starts with exposing those limiting beliefs you have about yourself and correcting them!

So do you want to have your own breakthrough and start to live life on your own terms? If so, I’d like t invite you to listen to the replay of a call I did where I discussed my proven system – the Quantum Emergence® System – and how it has helped people to break free from the lies (of limiting beliefs and negative thinking) and start living your truth.  Once you’ve listened to it, feel free to share any feedback below. Here is the link to access the call replay: http://quantumemergence.com/call/

I look forward to having participate and most of all to hearing your BREAKTHROUGH testimonial!

Live in purpose!

Are you being or doing?

Paying attention

How many times have you driven from one place to another and then realized when you got there that you couldn’t remember anything about the drive?

Or, you were talking on the phone but listening more to your own internal dialogue than what the other person was saying?

Well, you were certainly doing something but were you really being present in the task? The answer to that question would be a resounding NO!

There’s a line by a famous British comedy troupe from the 60’s that goes like this. How can you be two places at once when you’re really nowhere at all?

They were playing on the idea that most of us are not fully present in our lives in general and so miss our own life as it goes by.

Do a quick check in with yourself.

How often have you felt that way? Do you feel like your life is like a wild horse, taking you for a ride you can’t control? No wonder you close your eyes sometimes. The ride is too scary and you have no idea where it will end up.

This has especially accelerated with the age of technology when we check our phone, tablet, computer and answering machine, sometimes all at the same time trying to keep up with the speed of change.

For those of us who seek something more than the rat race writ large what can we do?

Well, there is another path.

There is a way to take control of your direction and destiny, to live the life you were truly meant to live, fully, completely and with joy.

People often think that means they need to make huge changes in their lives or become a completely different person. But that isn’t true.

A famous Buddhists saying is “Before enlightenment chop wood, carry water, after enlightenment chop wood carry water.” What does that mean?  Simply that the task doesn’t change, only your relationship to it does.

In order to have a more fulfilling relationship with your own life here are some starting points and things to think about.

1) The first thing you need to do is slow down! Take a breath. Notice what is around you and notice how you are relating to your world. The key word here is notice.

2) Until you become consciously aware of your thoughts and feelings you are doomed to a limited reality. A reality limited by your unconscious thoughts and feelings and closed down to the endless possibilities that exist for you.

3) Being fully present for your own life requires work and courage however it means the difference between living a life of quiet desperation and being the creator of your own reality. One path leads to sorrow, suffering and regret while the other leads to a rich, full life. The life you were put on this planet to live.

Beyond Limiting Beliefs – Part 2

Treat the Cause NOT the Symptom

In my last blog I talked about what limiting beliefs are and the purpose they serve.

This time I’m going to look at the real cause of the problem at its source. (Hint: it’s NOT the limiting belief)

Most people don’t realize that all of life’s obstacles and challenges are self-created.

People waste massive amounts of time trying to solve their surface problems by attempting to change, control and/or avoid the situation or person they believe caused their pain.

You probably know someone who attends endless seminars and courses on personal growth searching for the answer and never finding it.

Have you ever asked yourself why it’s such a hopeless quest?

It’s because these programs don’t get at the root cause of the problem. They try to deal with the symptom. It’s like putting a Band-Aid on an open infection hoping it will go away on its own.

Then there are the people who are convinced everyone else is responsible for their suffering. They complain endlessly about their husband, wife, kids, job etc. never realizing that the only way to transform the situation is through themselves.

Yes, it’s both the good news and the bad news. You are the creator of your present life! Let’s focus on the good news, which is that because you created your life through your deeply held beliefs you can chose to recreate yourself in keeping with your True self, the self God intended for you.

So.. what do you need to do to get started on the journey of true, permanent change?

1) Acknowledge to yourself that whatever your life is now is a reflection of your beliefs.

2) Overcome the illusion that your reality is something that needs to be controlled and changed. It is simply an extension of your most dominant beliefs.

3) In order to fully experience all the joy and love life has to offer you must get at the root cause of your pain so you can transform it.

4) Transforming your beliefs means bringing them to conscious awareness so that you can work with the meaning and interpretations you have established around them.

5) Your limiting beliefs hide the reality of your true self.

6) Through state of the art techniques and neurological conditioning you can receive profound clarity about your true self and God given identity.

Now that you have a good understanding of the purpose of limiting beliefs and how to get at their root cause you are well on your way to transformation.

My challenge to you is to start questioning why you behave the way you do. The more automatic your response, the more likely it is being driven by a subconscious belief.

Pick a situation that repeatedly causes you pain and begin to become aware of yourself in the situation. How are you feeling, what are you thinking, what is your automatic response? The stronger the emotion the more likely you have hit a personal belief jackpot. Over the next week keep a journal, recording what you observe about yourself. Commit fully to this exercise and you will be taking a profound step towards transformation.

Beyond Limiting Beliefs: Part 1

What is a Limiting Belief?

Do you want personal transformation? Are you serious about creating personal change in your life? Then you have to understand your deeply held beliefs.

Most of your beliefs were formed early and are subconscious.

It’s hard to know which beliefs support your goals, dreams and desires and which don’t. The ones that undermine your dreams and goals are surely limiting you.

We know some of our beliefs severely limit our potential and ability to be as big as we are. Beliefs like “I’m not good enough”, “I can’t……”, “I’m not very smart” etc. run through most people’s minds on a regular basis Tripping them up left, right and center.

Contrary to most others in the human growth industry, I believe that limiting beliefs are designed to serve a purpose. So rather than getting rid of them, you need to understand where they came from and why you adopted them in the first place.

In fact, limiting beliefs have gotten a bad rap. Here are the facts:

1) Fact: The primary purpose of the human nervous system is to keep you safe. Its operating system is based on protection and survival.

2) Fact: The human nervous system intuitively knows to protect those things that are most valuable to you i.e. your life and identity.

3) Fact: Once your beliefs are programmed at the level of the subconscious mind they are programmed for life. That includes your beliefs about yourself, your potential and your reality.

4) Fact: Your subconscious mind makes no distinction between managing your internal bodily systems and managing the belief systems you hold to be true about yourself. Both are maintained as if your life depends on it.

5) Fact: The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between a supporting belief and a limiting belief. It simply protects what it’s been programmed with.

Important Point:

Your limiting beliefs are the keys that unlock the treasure chest of your truth! Without discovering what your beliefs are protecting you will never realize the most important aspect of your human existence: your TRUE self. Your True self is your spiritual essence and the pure form you were intended to be.

When you know what your beliefs are protecting you will automatically reveal the most important aspects of who you are as a person and who God created you to be. You will receive insight and revelation as to your purpose, destiny and ultimate life direction.

In Part 2, I will be discussing just how to treat the cause of limiting beliefs NOT the symptoms, so stay tuned as we explore deeper into the world of limiting beliefs.

God’s Eternal Laws

Do you feel a hollow, empty feeling inside, even if you have everything you think you want in life?

It’s a feeling that can catch up with you at the end of the day when you’re sinking into your bed and maybe having the first quiet moment of the day. It’s just you alone with yourself. Or at least that’s what you may think.

You know there is something more, but you don’t know what it is. You would like to have a clear purpose and direction but can’t seem to find it. You hear about other people embracing TRANFORMATION in their lives but can’t figure out how they did it. Yet you long for it.

DOES THAT SOUND LIKE YOU?

The purpose and potential of creation is only found in the mind of the MAKER. To seek your higher self and the meaning of your life without God’s divine direction, revelation and wisdom only leads to failure.

God does have a plan for your true self if only you could know it.

So many of the people and organizations I work with struggle to find their way. I see so much energy being wasted that could be put to use for a higher purpose.

God doesn’t want you to struggle and didn’t create you for that reason.

Here are a few things you should know about reaching transformation through God as you embark on your journey of self discovery.

1) God’s perfect will, plan and desire for your life already exists, complete and simply waiting for you to manifest it.

2) The goal behind the goal of transformation is to discover who God created you to be, to uncover your hidden gifts, strengths and abilities so you can live the life you were created for. Only then are you able to reveal your truth.

3) The drive to experience something bigger, better and more meaningful seems to be at the core of every human being. And guess who put it there?

4) True personal growth emphasizes the importance of an intimate relationship with God.

5) True personal growth embraces and celebrates all transformational work that is created to elevate human consciousness and help people find out who God created them to be.

6) We are all God’s children and in that sense we are all one.

When you can rest in God’s eternal laws and desires for you then change, growth and healing are no longer a struggle.  They occur easily, naturally and effortlessly for you as God intended.
